UPDATE #1: Here's a rough summary, which will be replaced by a more detailed summary later. Keep in mind, terms used here are based off the Japanese version and will possibly be different than the English dub:

Beginning of the episode had Chase and the team invade STORM's headquarters to retrieve something, but turns up empty. Later, they go to what is essentially a ghost town to meet Dredge, who has information on the orange cores. Forge attacks and "captures" Dredge, and takes him off to one of the buildings, where Core-Tech pursues. They find him but Forge further instigates their attack, hauntingly singing "Let's play, Team Core-Tech".

After they wipe the floor of Forge, they go to take Dredge, but it turns out Dredge laid a trap for them and reveals he tricked them and is part of Forge. There he attacks the group with a Launcher (forget the name) and release the powerful Monsuno, X-100. Things do not go well with Core-Tech, and Noah (Beyal) unleashes a bright light so the group can escape. However, Forge is then instructed by their leader to unleash the powerful Core Bomb in the city, expecting to kill Core-Tech in the explosion. Fortunately Chase notices in time and they escape on their Monsuno's, but only just barely.

UPDATE #2: It turns out, SHINNOSUKE, who if I am correct, is from the Japanese band SOUL'D OUT, did the Pre-Opening segment and Next Episode Preview music. So it seems the Japanese version finally has an additional composer, which is pretty cool in my book.
